JEDBURG, S.C., Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Actor, comedian and party-crasher Bill Murray made a surprise appearance at a birthday party in South Carolina on Saturday, dining with guests and dancing to "867-5309/Jenny" and "Turn Down for What."

Murray's real-life cameo came after caterer and friend Brett McKee told the actor he was invited to a birthday party for Jedburg, S.C., resident Marvin Larry Reynolds. His birthday is not far from Murray's, who turns 64 on Friday, and Reynolds thought it would be fun to invite the Lost in Translation star to celebrate as well. McKee passed the invitation to his longtime friend and Murray accepted.

"I don't think there's anyone today in Hollywood who would do that for someone," McKee told the Post and Courier.

In addition to blowing out cake, Murray danced with guests, first air-guitaring to "867-5309/Jenny" before grinding with his new friends to "Turn Down for What."

Although Murray is mostly known for party crashing in and around the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, he owns a home in South Carolina and is frequently spotted in the Charleston-area.

Reports and an alleged photograph of Murray making a surprise appearance at a Philadelphia dive bar earlier in September remain unconfirmed.
