PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 4 (UPI) -- Robin Williams' film The Fisher King will be screened Tuesday at the Perelman Theater in the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia as part of National Suicide Prevention Week.

The event was organized by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, the Philadelphia Film Society, the movie website eflixir.com and the mental-health awareness group Minding Your Mind.

The screening will begin at 7:30 p.m. and attendees are encouraged to participate in a mental illness discussion after the film. A donation of $15 per ticket is suggested by the event's sponsors.

"I think that The Fisher King is a film that is going to bring up a lot of discussion. I just watched it," said Garden Wellington-Logan, a spokeswoman for the local AFSP. "There's parts in the film that probably tie into his own inner demons and the pain he was suffering."

In the 1991 comedic drama Williams plays a "suicidally despondent" former radio DJ who finds redemption in helping a homeless a man. Jeff Bridges and Adam Bryant co-star on the film.

The Mrs. Doubtfire star was found dead with a belt around his neck in his California home on August 11 at the age of 63. A preliminary report indicated Williams likely died of suicide due to asphyxia.
