LOS ANGELES, Aug. 26 (UPI) -- Gwen Stefani sparkled in silver at the 2014 Emmy Awards.

Monday's event marked the very first Emmys ceremony for the 44-year-old singer, and she dressed for the occasion in a Versace Swarovski ensemble. The outfit consisted of a long, sparkling skirt and a matching top with plunging neckline and gold panel detail.

But as Stefani presented Outstanding Variety Series with fellow The Voice coach Adam Levine, she had a John Travolta "Adele Dazeem" Oscars moment when she announced the winner.

Stephen Colbert won the award for The Colbert Report, but the singer pronounced the title "The Colbort Report." Levine corrected her mistake before Stefani playfully swatted him with the announcement envelope.

Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon seized the moment, and collected the prize for Colbert, saying, "She said it wrong, so means I should have it and there is a mistake."

Stefani will make her debut on The Voice when the show returns to NBC on September 22. The No Doubt frontwoman has recruited husband Gavin Rossdale to mentor her team.
