LOS ANGELES, Aug. 18 (UPI) -- After his manager challenged him to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, Justin Bieber gave it a shot.

Although it was nice that the pop star theoretically wanted to help raise money for the ALS Association, he missed two key pieces of the challenge -- the ice and the bucket.

After the first of two tries, Bieber nominated President Barack Obama, Ellen DeGeneres and comedian Chris D'Elia.

In the video he posted on Instagram, Bieber clearly uses a pot filled with water instead of a bucket filled with a mixture of water and ice.

People took notice.

After the first try, Biebs gave the Ice Bucket Challenge another go with a bucket, but again left the ice out.

Once again, the mistake did not go unnoticed.
