The 33-year-old actress and mother of two sizzles in a bikini and a wet, white shirt on the cover of the magazine, and sports a lamé bikini bottom and a wet, clinging tee inside the issue.
Many consider her figure enviable, but Alba asserted in the interview her looks are nothing compared to her self-worth.
"If you put your whole identity behind this business, it's brutal," she shared. "It chews you up and spits you out; it spits out a lot of people."
Alba revealed she struggled with very "personal" issues in her career, but said, "I definitely feel like I tackled something and came out the other side. Everything that led up to all this was worth it. I'm really comfortable in my own skin, and I'm not apologizing for myself.
"After I turned 30, I felt like I had turned a corner," she elaborated. "I definitely started to feel more connected to myself and my body and all of that as a person after I became a mom... I really feel the best now that I ever have, and I feel like it gets better and better every year."
Alba and husband Cash Warren have been married for six years, and have two daughters together, Honor Marie and Haven Garner. The actress will next appear as Nancy Callahan in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, and is scheduled for Dear Eleanor, How to Make Love Like an Englishman, Stretch and Barely Lethal later this year.
