LOS ANGELES, July 24 (UPI) -- Universal has unveiled the first trailer for the upcoming film adaptation of author E.L. James erotic novel, Fifty Shades of Grey.
The clip stars Jamie Dornan as the sadomasochist business man Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as his naive love interest and is set to a lewd version of Beyoncé's "Crazy in Love."
The two-and-half-minute video was unveiled Thursday on the Today show and was followed by an interview with the cast.
Johnson said during the interview that she didn't want her celebrity parents Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith to see the film and explained that "If it were them doing a [sexy] movie I wouldn't want them to see that [either]."
The trailer alone features a few BDSM (dominance/submission, and sadism/masochism) scenes including Grey's infamous red room of pain and a shot of a blindfolded Johnson sighing as she's tied to a bed.
Fifty Shades of Grey will be released on Feb. 14, 2015.
