LONDON, July 21 (UPI) -- Madame Tussauds is working on a wax statue of British actor Benedict Cumberbatch. The acclaimed wax museum unveiled the news Monday along with a photo of the actor being measured by the sculptors in London.
Cumberbatch's "immaculate red carpet style will be paired with a warm and relaxed expression, and his famous tousled hairstyle" for the upcoming statue.
"Finally I can photobomb myself!" the Sherlock star joked. "What a weird and wonderful compliment to be included in the ranks of talent already committed to wax. I've been accused of being wooden in my work but never waxy!"
Cumberbatch went on to say it had a been privilege to witness the process and to see "the amount of exacting work and skill brought to every detail of this art form."

"Measurements, hand inserted individual hairs and sculpted features. As a subject, you stand still surrounded by sculptors, painters, photographers, measurers and a whole army of people who bring together your likeness... it's an extraordinary experience," he added. "Also my agents will be thrilled, they've wanted a clone of me for some time!"
The actor's wax figure is slated for an October debut.
