NEW YORK, July 17 (UPI) -- Emma Stone opened up about the "spark" you feel when you meet someone during an interview with the American edition of OK! Magazine.

While the Amazing Spiderman actress wouldn't share any details about her relationship with her on-and-off screen love Andrew Garfield, she did say that "when you meet someone for the first time you can feel a spark, but not think they're so great as a person."

"Then, as you get to know them, you can either be proven right or wrong. It's a good 'don't judge a book by its cover' story," she added.

Stone and Garfield, both famous for being secretive about their relationship and personal lives, made headlines last month after covering their faces with notecards promoting charities while being stalked by paparazzi in New York City. However, the actress doesn't feel like she's a role model "in any way, shape or form."

"I do believe that when you're put into a public place you have to figure out what you're purpose is or what you can do with something like that," she said.

Asked whether she'd consider taking her acting career to the stage, Stone said "she'd love to" but she can't.

"I have vocal nodules, I lose my voice all the time, so it could be hard to be projecting onstage every night," she explained.

The 25-year-old actress will next star in Woody Allen's Magic In the Moonlight, which is set for a July 26 release.
