LOS ANGELES, July 11 (UPI) -- Sharon Stone says she is ready to date.

The 56-year-old actress made the announcement Wednesday on Extra. Stone was previously married to Michael Greenburg and Phil Bronstein, and split from beau Martin Mica in January 2013. While there is no one special at the moment, the star admitted she is open to the possibility.

"What's happened is my kids have reached the age where I feel comfortable to date," she explained. "I didn't want to date when they were little, because who needs a bunch of people running in and out of their lives? Now I feel comfortable dating."

"I am available for dating!" she declared.

Stone's availability does not extend to Antonio Banderas, whose wife, Melanie Griffith, filed for divorce in June. The actress slammed rumors of a romance last month to the Daily Mail as "salacious, unkind [and] unfounded."

"Antonio is a brother to me and Melanie has been with me for each and every birth of my three children," she asserted. "They are my family."

Stone has three sons: 14-year-old Roan, 9-year-old Laird and 8-year-old Quinn. The actress will appear in Un ragazzo d'oro later this year, and What About Love and Mother's Day in 2015.
