LOS ANGELES, July 8 (UPI) -- Leonardo DiCaprio: actor, producer... Jack Nicholson lookalike?

The 39-year-old star was spotted over the weekend rocking an unkempt beard, long hair and sunglasses. His new look is a far cry from his slick and fastidious appearance in The Wolf of Wall Street, and has elicited comparisons to his Departed co-star Jack Nicholson.

Fans of DiCaprio's disheveled look may be in for a treat come The Revenant. The actor stars as Hugh Glass in the new film, a real-life 19th century fur trapper left for dead and robbed after a bear attack. Glass survives the ordeal, and sets out on a treacherous path to vengeance.

The Revenant is directed by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (Babel), and co-stars Tom Hardy. The movie begins filming this fall, and is scheduled for release in 2015.
