LOS ANGELES, July 7 (UPI) -- Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi parted ways with their 13,511-square-foot Los Angeles home after Napster co-founder Sean Parker made them an offer they couldn't refuse.

TMZ reports DeGeneres sold the 6-bedroom, 9 1/2-bathroom house to Parker for $55 million last week. That is $15 million more than the couple paid for the property in January.

While the talk show host wasn't planning on selling the house, Parker reportedly became obsessed with the property and DeGeneres' interior design and made an offer late last month. The deal was closed on Thursday.

DeGeneres and De Rossi have now moved to a condo in Beverly West where they purchased an entire floor for $16 million. The couple also owns a large estate in Santa Barbara.
