NASHVILLE, July 2 (UPI) -- Miranda Lambert has a new, short 'do.

The 30-year-old singer debuted her bob haircut at a 1955 high school homecoming-themed party Tuesday. The retro affair was thrown in honor of Lambert's new number one single "Automatic."

"Automatic" co-writers Natalie Hemby and Nicolle Galyon wore 1950s "Easter dresses" with the star. Lambert donned a pink dress with plenty of poof and accessorized with pearls.

"Automatic" was released in February, and is the lead single from Lambert's fifth studio album Platinum. The song reached number three on the U.S. Billboard Country Airplay chart, number one on the Canada Country Billboard chart and number one on the Mediabase chart earlier this month. The singer kicks off a new tour in support of Platinum July 10 in Fort Loramie, Ohio.
