LOS ANGELES, June 27 (UPI) -- Vanessa Carlton is putting her music on hold as she prepares to welcome her first child with husband John McCauley.
The 33-year-old announced via social media Thursday that the release of her upcoming record had been pushed to the Summer of 2015 "due to a baby on board."
"We're expecting a baby. It's healthy and moving around like a champ," the singer wrote on Facebook, adding that she was "bummed" to delay the release of her new album, Liberman.
"It's so special to me and the perfect combination of England and Tennessee," she wrote. "When I put the record on it feels like medicine. I hope it does the same for you...in due time!"
Carlton and McCauley married in December 2013 in a ceremony officiated by Stevie Nicks. The "A Thousand Miles" singer announced last October that she was pregnant with the duo's first child, but later revealed she had a experienced a fallopian pregnancy.
