Lifetime to air behind-the-scenes 'Saved by the Bell' movie

Lifetime is going back to Bayside.

LOS ANGELES, June 19 (UPI) -- Fans hoping for a Saved by the Bell reunion will have to content themselves with Lifetime's upcoming behind-the-scenes drama, The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story.

The film, set to air Labor Day, will feature six young leads playing the series' beloved teen characters, Zack Morris, Screech, A.C. Slater, Kelly Kapowski, Lisa Turtle and Jessie Spano.

For those who haven't already seen E! True Hollywood Story's Saved by the Bell episode, or read Dustin Diamond's memoir, Lifetime's TV movie promises to tell the story of the real-life drama going on behind the scenes of Bayside High.

Dylan Everett will play Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Julian Works will play Mario Lopez, Alyssa Lynch will play Tiffani-Amber Theissen, Tiera Skovbye will play Elizabeth Berkley, Taylor Russell McKenzie will play Lark Voorhies and Sam Kindseth will play Dustin Diamond.

Lifetime has a number of "real-life" dramas in the works, including films about Aaliyah and Whitney Houston.
