NEW YORK CITY, N.Y., June 18 (UPI) -- Sia asked her hundreds of thousands of Twitter followers for help getting back at her New York City dry cleaners on Tuesday, when she claimed the business "ruined" some of her "favorite things."

"Suggestions for revenge/pranks on dry cleaner who ruined favorite things and won't take responsibility? Please discuss," the 38-year-old Australian singer-songwriter tweeted Tuesday.

Sia's favorite suggestion came from fellow musician Brad Walsh, who told her to "Tweet the yelp link so we can descend en masse."

"BEST SUGGESTION!! Please write ridiculous terrible reviews HERE," Sia tweeted, along with a link to the Yelp page of Metropolitan Garment Cleaning in Queens. She also tweeted the dry cleaner's personal phone number, but eventually deleted the post.

Twitter users started posting negative reviews to the small business' Facebook page, though many posted reviews defending Metropolitan Garment.

"Sad that a "celebrity" can just come and botch a small business' reputation. Maybe she needs to be reminded how hard it is to depend on your small business to feed your family," wrote one reviewer.

Yelp pulled most of the reviews inspired by Sia's tweet and not by first-hand experience.

"Non-germane, media-fueled reviews typically violate Yelp's Content Guidelines and Yelp has policies in place to deal with these events: once brought to our attention, our user operations team will remove reviews determined to violate our Terms of Service and Content Guidelines , including reviews that are not based on a first-hand consumer experience," a rep told Gothamist.

In the end, Sia decided to take the advice of former Gawker writer Neetan Zimmerman and "move on."
