LONDON, June 18 (UPI) -- Lindsay Lohan could make her theater debut in London before the end of the year.

While speaking to a New York Times reporter at Jeremy Scott's fashion show on Monday, the 27-year-old star said she's been preparing for a potential appearance in David Mamet's Speed-the-Plow in the West End in November.

"It's the first time I've done a stage play or anything like that," Lohan said. "I'm nervous but I'm excited."

Lohan's comments come three weeks after reports claimed that the Mean Girls star was considering a move to London. Since her arrival in the city, the actress has been seen partying in several London hotspots, but she's also keeping busy readying for her role as Karen in the play.

"I'm going back to my West End world," she said when asked if she'd attend any other fashion shows. "I'm a little overwhelmed. I haven't done this -- I haven't really done the shows -- in the last few years. But I live for fashion."

Speed-the-Plow is a black-comedy about the corporate dreams of movie executives. The original production starred Joe Mantegna as Bobby Gould, Ron Silver as Charlie Fox, and Madonna as Karen.
