"We've never really had real conversation about it, other than that I know there is a story," Parker, 49, said in reference to a third film installment of the SATC fanchise. "I think it's a really lovely, wonderful story but whether or not we tell it remains to be seen."
Parker played shoe-crazy Carrie Bradshaw in the HBO hit series from 1998 to 2004. While speaking to Cosmopolitan Editor In Chief Joanna Coles at the festival, the actress reminisced of the time she first heard about the show.
"When the project was first presented to me, you have to remember that at the time HBO was a very different channel, it was a very male orientated platform for distribution," she said, adding that SATC "was a voice that was new and it was slightly subversive and it had a point of view that was sort of singular so we couldn't look at anything else and say if that had success then we might."
Since the series wrapped 10 years ago Parker has gone on to star in multiple films -- including two SATC spinoffs -- landed a recurring role in FOX's Glee, launched her own shoe line and managed to maintain her trim physique with little effort.
"I work out for a sum total of 22 minutes," she revealed during the panel, "because that's all I can bear."
