LOS ANGELES, June 12 (UPI) -- Anna Kendrick smolders on the July cover of Elle, but the actress is not quite convinced of her own sex appeal.

Inside the issue, the 28-year-old star reveals she was actually a late bloomer.

"I never felt like I've exactly traded on my looks," she says. "When I was a teenager I was an ultra late bloomer, and my mom would say it was a blessing, because it means you never have to wonder if guys are only interested in you because you've got boobs. I would have been thrilled if guys were interested in my because of my boobs!"

"Similarly, I think I'm lucky that I've never had a crisis about whether the only reason I'm successful is because I'm crazy hot," she adds. "It's not something that crosses my mind."

The actress says in the interview that she "honest to God" hasn't been hit on since her 2009 movie, Up in the Air. "Crazy hot" or not, her recent successes indicate her star is on the rise. She appeared as Jessica Stanley in the Twilight series of films, and also starred in End of Watch and Pitch Perfect.
