Channing Tatum says 'it's so fun' to watch one-year-old daughter 'experience new things'

LOS ANGELES, June 9 (UPI) -- Self proclaimed high-functioning alcoholic Channing Tatum opened up about his life as a father while speaking to Us Weekly at the New York City premiere of his new film 22 Jump Street.

"I love seeing her with other kids and other people," the 34-year-old actor said of his one-year-old daughter, Everly. "She saw a kite for the first time, and she was like, 'What was that?! It's so fun seeing her experience new things."

Tatum's comments come a few days after he and his wife Jenna shared an Instagram photo of baby Everly's first birthday.

"Can't believe she's already one!" Jenna captioned the image. "Happy birthday to our little fairy!!"

Tatum and his wife welcomed baby Everly in London on May 31 2013. The couple married in March 2009 after meeting on the set of the 2006 film Step Up.
