The 2014 police-equipped Charger features an emblem that includes iconic images from two of his favorite films, Blues Brothers and Ghostbusters.
"That's two of my favorite things right there," Aykroyd said of the emblem, Thursday.
Aykroyd has been serving with the sheriff's department since January. He was scheduled to ride with Deputy Ramous Austin on Thursday to assess some of the county's more challenged areas, The (Jackson, Miss.) Clarion-Ledger reported.
"I'm very excited about seeing that," Aykroyd said. "It will help me to assess some of the other needs me and my friends might be able to help the department with."
