Mariah Carey wears full length gown on New York subway

The singer was accompanied by producer Jermaine Dupri and BET programming president Stephen Hill.

NEW YORK, May 30 (UPI) -- Mariah Carey recently wore a full length gown on the New York subway.

The 45-year-old singer sported the sparkly Atelier Versace dress to the Fresh Air Fund gala on Thursday. Carey, producer Jermaine Dupri and BET programming president Stephen Hill chose to take the subway home from the event, and were decked out in formal attire for the ride. The trio took photos of the experience, and shared them Friday on Instagram.

Carey captioned one of the pictures "#subwayincouture." Her fourteenth studio album, Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse, debuted on May 23.
