LOS ANGELES, May 29 (UPI) -- Brad Pitt was struck in the face Wednesday as he signed autographs during the Maleficent premiere in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles police told CNN that Ukrainian red carpet prankster Vitalii Sediuk jumped a barrier and attacked the actor as he interacted with fans. The incident was captured on video, and the 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of battery.

In the past Sediuk has been slapped by Will Smith after he attempted to kiss him in 2012 and ran to the Grammy stage after Adele was on her way to receive an award in 2013. He's also hugged the knees of Leonardo DiCaprio and Bradley Cooper this year during separate events.

Before Wednesday, Sediuk's most recent attack took place at the Cannes film festival where he attempted to put his head inside America Ferrara's dress as the actress posed for pictures.

Pitt seemed unfazed by Wednesday's attack and continued to walk the red carpet alongside fiancée Angelina Jolie after the incident.
