Justin Bieber parties shirtless in Cannes, fails to impress Adriana Lima

CANNES, France, May 21 (UPI) -- Canadian pop star Justin Bieber has joined the hundreds of celebrities who traveled to France for this week's International Cannes Film Festival.

The 20-year-old singer was spotted partying shirtless at Gotha nightclub Monday night where was reportedly trying to woo newly single Victoria's Secret model Adriana Lima.

"Justin was around Adriana like a moth to a flame all night," a source told British newspaper The Sun. "He was stood beside her, danced during one performance at the club and barely left her side."

However, the "Booyfriend" songster was turned down by the Brazilian model, who recently ended her five year relationship with NBA star Marko Jaric, when he asked her to join him and his gang for an after party.

"At the end of the night he was trying to head back to a hotel with Adriana and her mates -- but she politely declined," the insider said.

In spite of the let down, Bieber was able to get Lima to pose for a photo with him during their night out. The singer posted the snapshot on Instagram under the caption, "I think she foreign, I think she foreign."
