Amber Rose dons giant shades for the Billboard Music Awards

LAS VEGAS, May 19 (UPI) -- Amber Rose isn't afraid of a bold accessory.

The 30-year-old model walked the red carpet at Sunday night's Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas wearing oversized black sunglasses.

She paired the futuristic shades with an all-black ensemble and black boots and posed with Wiz Khalifa, her husband of one year.

Rose's statement piece conjured up Twitter references to Pharrell's oversized mountie hat, which has made several appearances at recent awards shows.

Rose loves outrageous sunglasses so much that she previously collaborated with the Vintage Frames Company to produce a series of snakeskin-covered shades. She also told Vibe in 2010 that she planned to open a sunglasses boutique in Los Angeles.
