WINTER PARK, Fla., May 11 (UPI) -- Former model Elin Nordegren graduated from college Saturday and in her graduation speech, she made a subtle reference to ex-husband Tiger Woods.

Nordegren graduated from Rollins College with a 3.96 GPA with a psychology major and was chosen to present a speech as the outstanding graduating senior. It took her nine years to complete her degree, taking breaks for the birth of her two children.

The theme of her speech was that actions speak louder than words.

"When I entered my student advisor office in the fall of 2005, I was 25 years old, I had just recently moved to America, I was married without children. Today, nine years later, I'm a proud American, and I have two beautiful children... but I'm no longer married," she said.

"It was right after I had taken Communications and the Media that I was unexpectedly thrust into the media limelight... and I probably should have taken more notes in that class," she added
