LOS ANGELES, May 8 (UPI) -- In a gimmicky-but-fun promo for X-Men: Days of Future Past, Hugh Jackman interviewed a version of himself from 1999, one year before he first played Wolverine in X-Men.

Jackman's "90's-era" self looks suspiciously like present-day Jackman, though there's a Furby and a couple of lava lamps in the background.

"I know that sounds really bizarre, that you will still be playing Wolverine 14 years from now, and it's going to reunite all the actors that you're about to work with on X-Men," Jackman says in the Yahoo! video.

"You're also going to work with a bunch of younger actors, some of which have just been born. I know that's going to sound very strange, but yes, they're all going to be very young, and they're all going to remind you on a daily basis that they watched you in this movie you're about to do when they were eight years old. Don't hit them."

Modern-day Jackman also says that X-Men's success will surprise everyone and spawn a generation of comic-book movies.

He also warned 1999 Jackman not to do Movie 43, a widely panned ensemble comedy film. "When they come to you with an idea of putting testicles around your neck ... [that's a] movie you could do with out."
