REYKJAVIK, Iceland, May 4 (UPI) -- Battlestar Galactica actress Katee Sackhoff will star in CCP Games' upcoming virtual reality game EVE: Valkyrie, the company announced.

Her character, Ran, won't be a player character, but a voice in the gamers' ear as they play.

"The first time I played EVE: Valkyrie I immediately knew I had to be a part of it," Sackhoff said in a statement. "Even with the roles I have played, it is the closest I have ever felt to being a real spaceship pilot. It is a truly transformative video game experience."
The game is comprised of pilots saved from death and are set to fly under the leadership of Ran.

Sackhoff previously lent her voice to three other video games: Halo 3, Resistance 2 and Spider-man Edge of Time.

A release date for EVE: Valkyrie hasn't been announced.
