Lena Headey no longer 'broke,' buys 790K home in California

Headey's new home is reportedly not "much to look at by Hollywood standards," but it is located in "one of the best neighborhoods" in Los Angeles.

LOS ANGELES, April 28 (UPI) -- Game of Thrones star Lena Headey is far away from the days when she claimed to have "less than $5" in her bank account and has just purchased a $790,000 fixer-upper in Sherman Oaks, Calif.

Real state site Trulia claims property records show the 40-year-old actress purchased a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 1,808 square foot home on April 2014.

Headey's new home is reportedly not "much to look at by Hollywood standards" but it is located in "one of the best neighborhoods" in Los Angeles.

Still, the house is described as "bright and airy, with a good floor plan and great ‘bones.’" Additionally, it has a "decent-sized kitchen that conveniently opens to the family room for easy entertaining. A large master suite [that] has ample closets and a private bath." There's also a pool, a patio an a garden in the house.

In April of 2013, Headey opened up about her financial troubles saying she was barely had a few dollars to her name.

Headey is best known for playing Queen Cersei in the HBO hit series as well as Queen Gorgo in the 300 saga.
