NEW YORK, April 28 (UPI) -- Chelsea Handler may have found the perfect network to showcase her talents when her contract expires with NBC's E! Entertainment Television, and that channel is Netflix.

The 39-year-old talk show host is reportedly in talks to join the Netflix family when her 8-year reign at E! comes to an end at the end of the year. A source close to the situation said that the format of Handler's show for the online streaming service "is to be decided."

News of Handler's possible move comes weeks after she came under fire for badmouthing E! on The Howard Stern Show, saying the channel was a "sad, sad place to live." She also recently denied rumors that she'd be moving to CBS while visiting The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

"I think it's time to move on," Handler said at the time. "I would like to take some time off and then I'll do something else... I don't know what I'll do next. I really have no plan."

In recent years Netflix has made quite a name for itself with hit original series like House of Cards and Orange Is The New Black. Thus far, the on-demand streaming service has yet to provide users with any type of talk show.

The comedian currently hosts her own talk show, Chelsea Lately, on E!. Reps for Handler and Netflix declined to comment on reports of their possible partnership.
