KANSAS CITY, Mo., April 25 (UPI) -- Miley Cyrus has finally been released from the hospital.

The 20-year-old singer had been hospitalized since April 15 due to a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics. She is reportedly now on the mend, and plans to depart soon for Europe to continue her Bangerz tour.

"She's doing much better," a source tells Us Weekly. "She had to get it all out of her system. It hit her hard."

Cyrus' hospitalization forced her to cancel several U.S. stops on the tour. Her rep said the singer was "devastated about missing shows," and she plans to return to the U.S. in August to make up the missed performances.

The star kept in touch with her fans via Twitter while she was laid up and professed she was "miserable" in the hospital. "Can't quit crying," she wrote on April 17. "Im meant to be onstage performing for y'all."
