NEW YORK, April 24 (UPI) -- Rita Ora discussed her upcoming role in 50 Shades of Grey in a recent radio interview.

The 23-year-old singer sat down with The Breakfast Club on Power 105.1 Wednesday in New York City. Ora was cast as Mia Grey in 50 Shades of Grey in December, and tells fans unfamiliar with the story that she won't be performing any sex scenes.

"Mia Grey is actually the sister of Christian Grey, who's adopted," she explains. "She doesn't have sex. She's the smart one who speaks French."

"She's more of the one who's in the wrong place at the wrong time," Ora says of later plot lines.

The singer had originally approached 50 Shades of Grey because she was interested in doing a song for the movie soundtrack. One thing led to another, and soon Ora was in the process of an eight-stage audition.

"I was really proud of myself," she says. "Roll up, get ready to get steamy!"

50 Shades of Grey debuts in theaters February 13, 2015.
