NEW YORK, April 23 (UPI) -- Macklemore is quite pleased with his new Air Jordan sneakers.

The 30-year-old Seattle-born rapper took to Instagram over the weekend to show off his new, customized Air Jordan kicks. The shoes are a Northwest King Salmon color in recognition of Washington state's penchant for fishing.

"I'm proud to announce the unveiling of my "Northwest King Salmon" Melo's," Macklemore writes. "Courtesy of @jumpman23 and myself. Never dreamed I'd have an opportunity like this."

The Jordan Brand gifted the rapper with the shoes to celebrate his and Ryan Lewis' performance at the Jordan Brand Classic All-American game in Brooklyn, New York on Friday evening. Macklemore was able to take a selfie with Michael Jordan himself at the event.

"The greatest ever," he tags the photo. "#jordan #selfiedondada."
