Disney Channel's 'Jessie' will soon feature the network's first engagement

"Jessie" debuted in 2011, and follows the 22-year-old titular character as she nannies for a high-profile couple in New York.

NEW YORK, April 17 (UPI) -- Disney Channel show Jessie will soon feature the network's first engagement.

Title character Jessie Prescott (Debby Ryan) will be the first female Disney television lead to get engaged. Four episodes will be dedicated to the storyline, and will most likely culminate with Jessie's wedding in the season three finale.

Jessie debuted in 2011, and follows the 22-year-old titular character as she nannies for a high-profile couple in New York. Jessie had a previous romance with doorman Tony (Chris Galya), but it seems that new love Brooks (Pierson Fode) is the one who will meet her at the end of the aisle.

Actress Debby Ryan tweeted about the news on her Twitter Tuesday, but said, "I've told enough secrets for now."

The latest episode of Jessie will air at 7:30 p.m. ET Sunday, April 27 on the Disney Channel.
