LOS ANGELES, April 16 (UPI) -- Unretouched photos from Lady Gaga's 2014 Spring/Summer Versace campaign have leaked online.

The 28-year-old star appeared in adverts for the brand published last year, and several original images from the shoot were leaked on Tuesday. The singer appears without a stitch of makeup on in the shots, and sports bruises on her knee and leg that were later Photoshopped out.

Like the vast majority of models and celebrities, Lady Gaga has been Photoshopped to "perfection" in the final images chosen for publication. Outcry over media use of digital alteration has grown in recent months, and many believe retouched photos set unrealistic body standards and promote unhealthy self image.
