LOS ANGELES, April 10 (UPI) -- Joe Francis and his girlfriend Abbey Wilson are expecting twin girls.

Wilson shared the happy news during an interview for Us Weekly, adding that because both she and the creator of Girls Gone Wild wanted to have girls and "wanted them to be healthy and free of genetic diseases" they decided to do in vitro fertilization.

"I have always heard women say you just know when you are pregnant and I totally understand that now. Your body, smell, sensitivity and cravings all change and mine did from day one," she said. "I found out shortly after a blood test confirmed the results and called Joe immediately, we were both screaming and so loud with excitement from each end of the phone!"

"We chose to have girls," Francis added. "I believe people will finally understand my love, respect and admiration for women. I love girls."

Francis and Wilson added that they've already shared the news with a few of their closest celebrity friends including Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick as well as Mario and Courtney Lopez. Asked whether they're being considered for the godparent title, Francis said, "perhaps."
