TORONTO, April 7 (UPI) -- Felicity star Amy Jo Johnson plans to join the cast of Covert Affairs.

The 43-year-old actress portrayed Julie Emrick on Felicity, and is also well-known for her role as Kimberly Hart, the Pink Ranger, on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Johnson will have a recurring role on Covert Affairs in the show's upcoming fifth season.

The Hollywood Reporter reports the actress will play the character Hayley, a National Counterterrorism Center investigator. Like the show's main character, Annie Walker (Piper Perabo), Hayley is a strong woman who is not afraid to take control.

The fifth season will pick up the storyline after Annie's faked death and her retreat undercover to Hong Kong. Hayley, meanwhile, will vie against Auggie Anderson (Christopher Gorham) as the intelligence community faces a new threat.

Covert Affairs will resume this summer on the USA Network.
