LOS ANGELES, April 6 (UPI) -- Miley Cyrus' mother, Tish, surprised her grieving daughter with a new puppy on Friday, as the 21-year-old pop singer mourned the recent death of her beloved dog Floyd.

"My mama knew my heart was broken & this morning I woke up to Moonie kisses," Cyrus tweeted, along with a picture of her new pup.

Despite the adorable addition to her family of pets, the "Wrecking Ball" singer is still struggling to come to terms with Floyd's passing.

"I feel physically sick & I am so emotionally and physically exhausted I feel like I have nothing else to give sweet baby Moonie," she tweeted Saturday.

Cyrus broke down in tears during her concert in Boston on Wednesday, telling the crowd that she wasn't "sounding [like] myself."

In Brooklyn on Saturday, she sang to a giant statue of Floyd.

"These have been the hardest days I have ever been though," she said.
