Lady Gaga tones down look with classic pink coat, simple blowout

NEW YORK, April 4 (UPI) -- Lady Gaga has fashion mavens and fans all aflutter with her recent toned-down outfits and hairstyles.

The singer, who recently celebrated her 28th birthday, turned heads Thursday after she stepped out in a pale pink, belted coat and cream pumps. Her long red hair looked clean and healthy in a simple, traditional blowout.

In addition, Lady Gaga had people wondering if her relatively normal outfit was an April Fool's Day prank when she was spotted on Tuesday in flat oxfords and a floral ensemble.

The relative normalcy of her recent outfits seems to have also translated to her stage performances. The Guardian reports that fans at her New York Roseland Ballroom show on Wednesday "seemed to be waiting for their leader to do something outrageous," but found "there was something decidedly tame about the experience."
