LOS ANGELES, April 4 (UPI) -- January Jones says she is in "total denial" over the fact that Mad Men will soon come to an end.

The 36-year-old actress spoke to Access Hollywood at the show's season seven premiere earlier this week and expressed shock that the series is nearly over.

"I'm in total denial," Jones says of Mad Men's impending finale. "I'm like Scarlett O'Hara. I'll think about it tomorrow -- or some other time!"

The AMC show debuted in 2007 and will come to a close in 2015. The final, seventh season has been split into two parts -- the first will air beginning April 13, and the second will run in spring of next year.

Jones says she has learned a lot during her years on set, particularly from costar Jon Hamm.

"I think we lean on each other a lot," she says of the actor who brings Don Draper to life. "In that way I learned a lot about myself and my craft."

"Being in a situation like a TV show when you're moving so fast and doing so much work in so little time, it's sort of an education that you can't compare to anything else," Jones continues. "It just has so much value."
