Samuel L. Jackson performed a hilarious slam poetry piece about Boy Meets World during his Tuesday appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

The 65-year-old actor appeared onstage in a beatnik cap with a cigarette in hand to perform his slam poem synopsis of the 1990s show.

"Boy meets world. Boy... greets world," Jackson began. "Hello, world. I am Cory Matthews... short and average, with a headful of curls."

"The year... 1993," the actor continued. "We see two boys who lack both brains and brawn. Cory Matthews and Hunter, Shawn."

Jackson paid reference to Cory's love interest Topanga and his neighbor and teacher Mr. Feeny, and ended the poem with "Class dismissed."

Boy Meets World ran for seven seasons from 1993-2000, and a new television sequel series, Girl Meets World, is currently in the works. The show will focus on Riley Matthews (Rowan Blanchard), Boy Meets World characters Cory and Topanga's daughter. Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel will reprise their roles as Cory and Topanga for the new show.

Girl Meets World will debut this summer. Jackson will next appear in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The actor reprises his role as Nick Fury in the new film, set for release on April 4.
