March 30 (UPI) -- British actor Daniel Radcliffe said he'd eventually be interested in appearing in a big-screen musical, but he'd prefer it to be "bizarre" or "weird."

The actor is currently preparing for his next Broadway role in The Cripple of Inishmaan, which opens at the Cort Theatre on April 20.

He told Entertainment Weekly doing a movie musical the likes of Romance & Cigarettes is next on his bucket list.

"I would love to do a big film musical. I think when they’re done right, they’re incredibly exciting and fun and cool," he said. "Everyone thinks of the ones that come to mind immediately like Grease and things like that, but what was that slightly bizarre but wonderful John Turturro film? Romance & Cigarettes. It’s a bizarre musical, and I love weird, interesting, different stuff like that."
