'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' movie releases first trailer

"Transformers" director Michael Bay will produce the new film.

The new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie has released its first teaser trailer.

The film is directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Wrath of the Titans, Battle Los Angeles) and produced by Michael Bay (Transformers). Megan Fox stars as April O'Neil, while Alan Ritchson (Raphael), Noel Fisher (Michelangelo), Jeremy Howard (Donatello) and Pete Ploszek (Leonardo) bring the Turtles to life with the help of CGI.

The movie takes place in New York City, and features the Turtles as they defend their city and combat the evil Shredder (William Fichtner) and his Foot Clan.

Crime will be fought and pizza will be eaten in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, set for release on August 8.
