Fox 2000 has purchased the rights to Green's 2008 novel Paper Towns, and plans to bring back Fault producers Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen and writers Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber for the adaptation.
Actor Nat Wolff will return to star in Paper Towns. Wolff co-stars as Isaac, a mutual friend of lead characters Hazel (Shailene Woodley) and Augustus (Ansel Elgort) in the film adaptation of The Fault in Our Stars.
Paper Towns tells the story of a young man named Quentin and his neighbor Margot who discover a man who committed suicide. Years later, Quentin finds Margot at his bedroom window, and she asks him to take revenge on people who have hurt her. He agrees, but Margot vanishes the next day and he must follow the clues she left in order to find her.
A projected release date for Paper Towns has not yet been revealed.
The Fault in Our Stars will debut in theaters on June 6. The film adaptation has been a source of both excitement and consternation for fans concerned about how the novel will translate to screen. The weighty novel tells the story of a 16-year-old cancer patient named Hazel who falls in love with 17-year-old Augustus Waters, whose cancer is in remission.
