The 42-year-old actor will star as Cade Yeager, a single father and inventor, in the upcoming film. He led into a fifteen-minute sneak peek with a speech full of excitement and praise for the movie.
"For moviegoers all over the world, I guarantee this will take it up a notch," Wahlberg promised.
The actor was careful to differentiate Age of Extinction from the first three Transformers films. "Michael promised me it would be a very different, stand-alone movie, which it absolutely is," Wahlberg said. "It is bigger and better than the other three combined. This will be the biggest movie of 2014."
His praise did not end there. "[Transformers] is the most iconic franchise in movie history," the star boasted.
