March 23 (UPI) -- Anne Hathaway made a new friend Friday at the Miami Walk of Fame, one that maybe got a little too close for comfort.

A bright blue parrot was placed on her shoulder at the event -- a nod to her role in the animated franchise Rio.

The parrot though Hathaway's locks looked a little tasty and decided to take a couple pecks at her scalp.

It doesn't look like too much damage was done, as Hathaway appeared to be smiling and laughing throughout the encounter.
