Alec Baldwin is played the part of an alcoholic journalist with questionable ethics on Law & Order: SVU, which is the very type of journalist he claimed to hate.

The episode titled "Criminal Stories" features Baldwin playing a journalist of questionable ethics able to sway opinion in New York City with a single article -- Baldwin's idea of how the media works, in other words. The episode was directed by SVU star Mariska Hargitay and aired Wednesday night.

Baldwin has previously slammed journalists and said that their portrayal of him encouraged him to leave public life.
