March 12 (UPI) -- American actress and singer Doris Day will celebrate her 90th birthday on April 3 raising money for animals.

The Doris Day Animal Foundation announced Tuesday that it will be hosting a tribute dinner and fundraiser in honor of Day's milestone birthday. The celebration will take place in Carmel, Calif., where fans and friends of the beloved star will spend a full weekend celebrating the event.

"The event will celebrate Doris’ lifelong love of animals and the many accomplishments of the Doris Day Animal Foundation and its grantees. This landmark event will be held at the gracious Quail Lodge in Carmel," read a statement posted on the DDAF's Facebook page.

The festivities will include the auctioning of "one-of-a-kind" items that will be open for pre-bidding and will close at the live auction on April 4. The packages include signed collector art, mementos from Doris herself and more. All proceeds will benefit the actress's foundation, DDAF.

You can check out the items that are up for auction here.
