NEW YORK, March 10 (UPI) -- Madonna will collaborate with Swedish DJ and EDM star Avicii on an upcoming project.

The singer posted a picture of herself on her Instagram late Friday night that included the caption, "On my way to the studio to work with Avicii!"

Avicii had tweeted only hours before:

The exact project the two worked on is unknown. The session might have been for an upcoming Avicii release, but could also be for Madonna's new album.

Madonna confirmed to The Canadian Press in February that she is planning and working on her next album. The singer was purposely vague about the details. "Yes, plans are in the works already. Don't ask me with who, it's a secret, top secret."
