LOS ANGELES, March 6 (UPI) -- A new Hollywood Reporter profile casts Shailene Woodley, the star of two forthcoming films based on popular young adult novels, as a successor to uncoordinated Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence.

So it makes sense that Lawrence was the person who convinced Woodley to sign on to Divergent, a Hunger Games-style franchise due out March 21.

Woodley, 22, said she wasn't sure about the film, was worried about the pressure of committing to a franchise.

In several emails, Lawrence reportedly told her, "You must do it. You will not regret it for a second. Yes, there are some hard things, but there are so many beautiful things that will come from an opportunity like this."

Lawrence would know a thing or two about franchise exhaustion. The American Hustle star said last month that she planned to turn her phone off for a year after the final Hunger Games film. Director David O. Russell also made a splash by saying that the Hunger Games filmmakers worked her like a "slave."

Woodley, who has already earned a reputation as an spiritual, earthy type among fans, also described her religion as "the Earth, man."

"I believe in trees."

The 22-year-old only buys used clothes and seems to indicate that she's open to romantic relationships with people of different genders.

"I fall in love with human beings based on who they are, not based on what they do or what sex they are," she said.

Woodley's other upcoming film, The Fault in Our Stars, hits theaters June 6.
