Listen to 'Game of Thrones' mixtape tracks by Wale, Big Boi

Big Boi and Wale have dropped their "Game of Thrones"-themed tracks ahead of the mixtape's Friday release.

LOS ANGELES, March 6 (UPI) -- Popular culture doesn't normally associate hip-hop with medieval-fantasy television shows about dragons. But HBO thought Game of Thrones-inspired rap lyrics would be a good way to make its massive hit even more appealing to "multicultural audiences."

Thus, the Catch the Throne mixtape was born. It'll feature new music from both new artists and big-name rappers like Common and Daddy Yankee. Though the mixtape doesn't officially drop until Friday, you can already listen to Wale's contribution, "King Slayer," and Big Boi's Khaleesi tribute, "Mother of Dragons."

"F**k the Lannisters and everybody ride with 'em/ Jon Snow and the Night's Watch, finna slice some iron in 'em," Big Boy raps.
